Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama, a sports association in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was established on August 21, 1898, while the Football Department was founded on November 5, 1915. The club was founded by a Portuguese immigrant navigator Vasco da Gama, so many Portuguese immigrants in Rio de Janeiro now support Vasco da Gama.
Vasco da Gama's home is located in San Joao Ario, which can accommodate 31,000 people, but some games are held in Maracana, which can accommodate 103,000 people. Their jerseys are mainly composed of white plus a black diagonal, as well as white trousers and white socks.
